Heat is the hardest condition a car faces here, and almost every summer callout traces back to something that could have been checked in twenty minutes.
- Coolant strength and level, not just level.
- Battery terminals and state of health. Heat kills batteries faster than cold.
- Tyre pressures set cold, and sidewalls checked for cracking.
- Air conditioning system pressure before the first 45-degree week.
- Cabin and engine air filters after the dust season.
- Brake fluid moisture content, which climbs quietly year on year.
Book the air conditioning check in April. By June every workshop in the province is full.
